When I was a little girl, more years ago than I can count on all my fingers and toes, I was given a camera for Christmas one year. The first thing I did was run outside, stand my dolls up in the snow (because it always snowed on Christmas day then) and photograph them. I still do that now. First light dusting of snow of the winter and this doll had to put her coat & boots on for a photo session.

They say the Devil makes work for idle hands to do… So I made a wig. Not bad for a first attempt, especially as I’m the least crafty & most cackhanded person you’ll ever meet. I’m ridiculously proud that this worked out. It’s just feathers on a cap made of leftover gingham & PVA glue; & if I can do it, you can.
