At some point in every doll fan’s life, the urge to customise pops up. And you see Bratz dolls ruined by people who actually seem to hate Bratz dolls with a passion, and wonder how on earth they did that. So yes: if you use pure acetone, you can wipe the factory faceup off a doll. I started with a Create A Monster werewolf doll like the one on the left, and I took off her face. I won’t be repainting her: I wanted a blank-faced doll. What a difference a bit of lipstick makes!

They say the Devil makes work for idle hands to do… So I made a wig. Not bad for a first attempt, especially as I’m the least crafty & most cackhanded person you’ll ever meet. I’m ridiculously proud that this worked out. It’s just feathers on a cap made of leftover gingham & PVA glue; & if I can do it, you can.
